Hyderabad Rajiv Ghandi International Airport was selected as one of the top five air travel hubs in the world at the Airports Council International (ACI) awards.
The Indian air transport location took fifth place, with Seoul Incheon International Airport taking the top honour.
Singapore Changi Airport, Hong Kong International and Beijing Capital International completed the five best in the world, according to the AIC.
India’s New Delhi Airport also received a distinction, taking second place in the best improvement category.
ACI director general Angela Gittens commented that the Asia-Pacific’s strong performance demonstrates “the region’s strong customer service culture, airport management commitment to service delivery and the high quality of modern passenger facilities”.
People who visit Hyderabad will be able to take in some of the city’s historic sights, such as Faluknama Palace, Mecca Masjid and Golconda Fort.
