Australians have highlighted the many wonderful regions of their country on a new website.
Australians have shown their enthusiasm for their country by uploading nearly 30,000 stories to a new global campaign website from Tourism Australia.
As well as stories, thousands of images were also uploaded on to nothinglikeaustralia.com, highlighting areas those taking cheap flights to Australia can visit.
New South Wales had the most entries with 6,869, followed by Queensland with 6,476, Western Australia with 4,629 and Victoria, which got 4,111 posts.
Andrew McEvoy, managing director of Tourism Australia, said that the number of entries exceeded expectations.
“We went into this knowing how passionate Australians are about our country and the level of support they have given to the promotion has been incredible,” he added.
The entries uploaded onto the site include scuba diving trips, wine tasting events and other activities which those taking cheap flights to Australia might like to enjoy.
