A top Dubai magazine has listed the best spots in the city for getting an ice cream to cool yourself down on a summer’s day.

Brits booking flights to Dubai may find the heat quite scorching at first, but fortunately the UAE city has plenty of top ice cream parlours to help you cool down.

TimeOut Dubai has rated the best places in the city to pick up a refreshing treat, including former fine-dining restaurant Margaux, which has been converted into a high-class ice-cream boutique that sells classy cones for 45 dirhams (£7.50) each.

Keeping with the luxury theme, the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah claims to serve the biggest ice-cream sundae in the city. For 99 dirhams, you get an entire bowl overflowing with London Dairy ice-cream and fresh fruit.

Those who prefer a more minimalist approach are advised to check out Okku, a Japanese restaurant, where you can try green tea flavoured ice-cream for 15 dirhams.

Finally, if you’re looking to enjoy a stroll along the beach with a takeaway tub or a handy cone, then the Ice Factory is an ideal spot, just opposite the Hilton Jumeirah hotel, with ices sold for 12 dirhams a scoop.
