People who have booked holidays to Dubai in February may want to venture out to the city’s jazz festival.

Anyone who has booked flights to Dubai next month may hear snatches  of jazz music as they wander around the city.

This is because the Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival will be taking place in the destination from February 10th to 19th.

Musical maestros set to showcase their talents at the main venue include The Brand New Heavies and James Morrison.

Described as “the pioneers of the London acid jazz scene”, The Brand New Heavies will be performing a two and a half hour show on Wednesday February 17th.

Some of the other gigs will take place at the Network Jazz Garden in Dubai’s Media City Amphitheatre. People who register for the event online will be eligible for free entry to the shows.

Cindy Bradley, Randy Scott and Tim Bowman are among the musicians taking to the stage at the venue during the week-long event.

According to the organisers, the Dubai International Jazz Festival has attracted more than 100,000 fans since its creation eight years ago, with 120 artists performing at the show each year.
