Many Brits should consider taking a holiday to a more exotic region and discover new resorts, claims a holiday executive.Frederic Bardin, senior vice president at tour operator Arabian Adventures, explained that many holidaymakers are looking for new experiences and are increasingly tempted by destinations across the Middle East.

He added: “Dubai and the UAE, in general, remain extremely popular to a wide variety of visitors. Dubai, for example, is the only place in the world where you can ski on water, sand and snow, all in the same day.”

Those enjoying cheap flights to Dubai, could be interested in a variety of special excursions organised by the firm, including scuba diving trips, relaxing catamaran cruises or even a more action-packed experience which could combine rock climbing, kayaking, trekking and cycling.

Recent figures from Dubai International airport showed an increase in annual passenger numbers from 3.7 million in July 2009, to 4.3 million in the same month this year.
