British holidaymakers are becoming much more financially switched on when searching for getaway deals.
Emma O’Boyle, a spokeswoman from TripAdvisor, noted that holiday customers are now realising “that if they shop around, there are real savings to be found”.
When searching out cheap flights to Australia, Ms O’Boyle’s advice could be useful.
“It’s important to evaluate more than just the base ticket price to determine which flight is the best overall value,” she commented. Such considerations could include the distance to the departure airport and the cost of getting there.
According to a recent survey by Travelzoo, Brits are more likely to haggle for a good price on a holiday deal than any other European travellers.
