Flights to New Zealand may become increasingly popular with travellers hoping to enjoy an adventure holiday in light of a recent report that ranked it as one of the top destinations for this kind of break.
According to a study published by George Washington University, the Adventure Travel Trade Association and Vital Wave Consulting, the country was one of the prime locations for adventure tourism in 2010.
New Zealand placed at number three in the list of developed nations and scored particularly highly in the safety, entrepreneurship and infrastructure categories.
The image of the country among adventure travellers was also highlighted as one of its great strengths, as it achieved the top grade for this for the second consecutive year.
Jetsetters planning to take advantage of New Zealand’s offering for adrenaline junkies may want to book flights to Queenstown, where they can try their hand at activities such as white water rafting, skydiving and jet boating.
