A festival offering a selection of local foods and crafts could prove to be a great day out for travellers in New Zealand.
Travellers on flights to New Zealand could get the chance to sample a huge range of delicious food and see great entertainment by attending the Seafest festival.
Taking place in Kaikoura, the annual event is this year taking place on October 1st 2011 and is held as a celebration of great food and beverages which are abundant in the region.
Now celebrating its 17th year, the festival will provide everything from cookery demonstrations to show how to get the best from the local seafood, through to performances on the live stage from local bands including Remedy and Double Talk.
For those who feel peckish during the day, companies from across the region will be setting up stalls and selling everything from Thai chicken to Emu and delicious homemade chocolates.
Some people on flights to New Zealand soon could be those in the over 55 age group, after a study by the Post Office found that many older people are now planning to take extended holidays in distant countries.
