There are many reasons that British travellers book flights to Australia, it has been claimed.

The language, climate and culture are all reasons that Brits travel to Australia, one tourism expert has stated.

Holidaymakers from the UK will often book flights to Australia due to the prospect of better weather, as well as a change in culture.

A spokesperson for ABTA – The Travel Association pointed out that because it is an English-speaking country, many people feel more comfortable travelling and working in Australia than in other foreign nations.

“You don’t have the language barrier in the same way as you do with most other countries,” she explained.

Her comments come as a study by Currency UK revealed that three-quarters of Brits have thought about emigrating, with Australia the most popular choice among those looking to start a life abroad.

Of those polled, 33 per cent stated that they would like to move down under, while 26 per cent chose Canada as the best place to emigrate to.
