American Airlines has stated that its capacity figures have remained stable over the past year.
People taking flights to New Zealand with American Airlines may be interested to know the carrier has reported consistent results over the past year.
The firm had a load factor rate of 83.2 per cent during October 2011, which compares with the 83.6 per cent that was seen in the same period of 2010.
It announced that its capacity was down by 0.7 per cent and traffic declined by 1.1 per cent year on year.
“International traffic was consistent relative to last October on a capacity increase of 1.5 per cent, resulting in international load factor being lower by 1.3 points versus the same period last year,” the carrier said in a statement.
In total, it carried 7.3 million people during the month of October.
Travellers taking flights to New Zealand and other locations with American Airlines or Etihad can now redeem their frequent flier points across both of these carriers.
