People who are travelling across Australia with Virgin can now fly business class.

Travellers on flights to Australia who are planning to fly internally with Virgin Australia have been informed they can now opt for business class.

The carrier has announced that it will be offering the class of seats across most of its services on its fleet of Airbus A330, Boeing 737-700 and 800s and Embraer aircraft.

It will commence this new service on January 18th 2012.

“With business class now on sale across our domestic network, for the first time in almost a decade, travellers will have a choice in business class within the Australian domestic market,” said Liz Savage, group executive for commercial.

She explained that the service comes in conjunction with a range of new airport lounges, frequent flyer programme and recently expanded list of destinations.

The carrier announced last month that people on flights to Australia will soon be able to choose from more trips to locations including Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
