Kylie tells people to embrace Sydney this New Year

Kylie Minogue has revealed ’embrace’ will be the theme of Sydney’s New Year celebrations.

Anyone who has ever been to Sydney will not forget the experience – the mixture of culture, climate and laid-back atmosphere is unlike many other places on Earth.

But most people will admit that the best time to visit is during New Year.

Not only is it the height of the sizzling Australian summer with high temperature and lots of sun virtually guaranteed, but the celebrations in Sydney are some of the best in the world.

Kylie Minogue was chosen to announce the theme for this year’s spectacular show and she revealed that it will be ’embrace’.

New Year is a time to celebrate the great diversity in Sydney said the Aussie superstar, who hopes everyone will hug during the fireworks over the harbour.

“It’s also about that magical moment at midnight when we throw our arms around the people we love and express our happiness,” she added.
