Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney are the three most liveable cities in the world, according to a new survey.
Australia has some of the most beautiful and hospitable cities in the world, according to new research.
The Global Liveability Survey has named Melbourne as the most liveable city in the world, while Adelaide has leapfrogged Sydney to jump from third to second since last year.
Melbourne’s score of 97.5 per cent is close to the perfect score and Economist Intelligence Unit survey editor Jon Copestake, said the other two are not far behind.
“Australian cities continue to thrive in terms of liveability – not only do they benefit from the natural advantages of low population density, but they have continued to improve with some high profile infrastructure investments,” he added.
Melbourne is an increasingly popular holiday hotspot, while Sydney and Adelaide have always been flooded with tourists.
Now is considered the best time to start thinking about holidays to Australia as the southern hemisphere’s summer is fast approaching.
