A holiday in Thailand has been recommended for the Christmas break.
Families looking to escape the chill of the UK this Christmas season may wish instead to travel to Thailand for a warm escape.
Katy Holland of the Independent wrote that there are a number of new facilities set to open in the country in time for the December holidays, with plenty on offer for nature-lovers.
She described the new – it opened in January 2009 – “and rather glorious” Anantara Si Kao Resort and Spa, located in southern Thailand’s Sikao district, as “a real treat”.
Family members of all ages will be delighted by the opportunity to get “up close and personal” with sea cows, while adventure-lovers may wish to hire their own speed boats, venture out in a sea kayak or take to the hills on a nature walk, she added.
The resort also offers a range of spa treatment options for those who are looking to get true rest and relaxation on their Christmas break. Several packages, including Purify Me and Energise Me, are available from the facility’s Wellness 360 spa menu.
