The UAE’s largest cable-stay bridge now allows tourists easier access to Hodariyat Island
Hodariyat Island is now much more accessible to visitors to Abu Dhabi than in previous times due to the completion of yet another impressive engineering project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) has completed the construction of Hodariyat Bridge – the UAE’s largest cable-stay bridge.
Nabil Al Kendi, chief development officer at the group, said his company was proud of the work it had done to finish the 1.3 km-long bridge six months ahead of schedule.
He added: “The completion of Hodariyat Bridge marks an important milestone in the island’s history as it will facilitate its future development.”
Abu Dahbi has been the site of a number of exciting constructions recently with most of them aimed at making the emirate more attractive to holidaymakers.
Earlier this year, TDIC completed the Al Bateen Beach project – a scratch-built resort that features lawns, picnic areas, sports courts, event spaces and restaurants.
