Southall Travel Listed in Sunday Times Top Track 250

Southall Travel, the Middlesex based travel agency has been ranked in the Sunday Times Top Track 250 list of the UK’s most successful mid-market private companies. With annual sales of £203.1 million recorded for the year ending March 2010, Southall Travel was ranked at 148th place. It is the only travel agency to be ranked in the influential list.

The Managing Director of Southall Travel, Mr. Kuljinder Bahia was pleased with the listing and said “This is the first time we’ve been ranked in the Top Track 250 and I’m extremely proud to be the only travel agent to make the list.”

Mr. Bahia also praised his staff members. “Trading conditions have been difficult this year for the whole industry but we have a talented team in place and we have worked hard to innovate through online marketing, new technology, broadening our product range and call centre productivity.”

He also believes that such accolades and awards will further cement the position of the company in the competitive travel market. “The listing is a great accolade for us and something we can use within our own marketing,” he said.

Kuljinder Bahia further added, “I’m thankful for our strong relationship with our suppliers and to our customers, many of whom book with us time and time again.”

Other travel industry related companies listed in the Sunday Times’ impressive list includes the Gatwick Airport which ranked 16 with sales of £475 million, the Alternative Hotel Group at 18th place with sales of £465 million and Travelodge at 71 with sales of £297 million apart from Park Resorts and Holiday Extras ranking at 215 and 236 positions respectively.

Southall Travel was also ranked 81st in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list in the year 2005.
