The arrival of a new mall in Abu Dhabi will see some of the world’s biggest brands open stores.
A string of some of the world’s biggest brands have signed up to open stores in the new mall being constructed in Abu Dhabi.
The Galleria mall is set to open in Sowwah Square in the emirate and has already seen some famous names planning to rent floor space.
Among the companies that will be setting up for business in the prestigious new location are the likes of Louis Vuitton, Prada and Gucci.
Alongside these shops, there will also be 110 retail units and a range of restaurants, including 12 that have been licensed to sell alcohol.
“We determined that the Abu Dhabi market had a very big missing piece. We saw a demand coming from the retail community,” said Kenneth Himmel, a co-managing partner of Gulf Related, which helped to develop the new site.
As well as shopping in modern malls, Abu Dhabi is also home to an array of famous souks, where it is possible to pick up traditional perfumes and carpets.
