London, 17 October, 2016Southall Travel, one of the UK’s biggest consolidators for flights and holiday deals to Asia, has extended its support to Hertfordshire’s Indian Cultural Association by sponsoring two of its key community events in October – Navratri 2016 and Annual Diwali Celebrations.

The Buckinghamshire-based travel company was the main sponsor of Navratri 2016 which was held at the Onslow St Audrey’s Academy in Hatfield. The musical gala took place on 1st, 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th and 15th October. Navratri 2016, a cultural-musical event, featured live music and dance, and special performance by the Sangeet Sarita Group, considered one of the finest groups in the UK for traditional Indian music and dance forms such as Bhajans, Mehfils and Garbas.

ICA’s Diwali Celebrations will take place on 23rd October, 2016 at the Onslow St Audrey’s Academy in Hatfield. Guests can expect the venue to transform into a colourful and brightly lit arena where they can enjoy a traditional feast of music and culture.

Diwali Celebrations will feature half an hour of exciting Children Activities from 4:30PM, followed by Aarti (Hindu religious ritual of worship) at 5PM. Guests will then enjoy a fabulous Variety Show, which will go on for almost 2hrs, followed by a dinner.

Diwali, known worldwide as the Festival of Lights, is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated with great enthusiasm across India and other countries. Even in the UK, particularly in towns and cities which are home to large Indian population, such as London, Leicester, Manchester, Nottingham and Edinburgh, the festival witnesses major celebrations.

The members of the Indian Cultural Association enjoy free entrance to the Diwali Celebrations, while the non-members will have to pay a nominal entrance fee of £2 to £10 to be a part of these terrific celebrations.

Buckinghamshire-based Southall Travel, a leading travel company which has enjoyed significant and consistent commercial growth over the years, continues to support a variety of cultural and community events.
