Southall Travel moved up to 132nd rank in the 8th Annual Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table. The firm jumped to higher position for the third consecutive year owing to its improved financial results.
London, 12 October 2012 – Continuing with its award winning spree, Southall Travel bags another one as it gets listed at the coveted Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table for third year in a row. Southall Travel has been ranked at 132nd place in the annual league table as the agency posted an astounding sales figure of £270.5m in the financial year 2012.
Over 200 guests attended the gala dinner of the 8th Annual Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 awards that took place on 11th October 2012 in London.
Southall Travel’s director of Sales, Mr. Jaymin Borkhatria represented the company at the event and collected the prestigious award. The ceremony witnessed representations from some of the country’s most well-known private companies such as Aston Martin, Dreams, Gatwick Airport, Lush, Nando’s, Virgin Active, and Yeo Valley.
Mo Merali, Corporate Finance Partner at Grant Thornton (title sponsor of the league table) and Ian Stuart, Managing Director and Head of UK and Ireland client coverage at Barclays (league table sponsor for the first time) played host to the guests at the invitation-only dinner.
Mr. Borkhatria stated that “It’s a great achievement to rank in the highly prestigious league table of country’s top mid-market private companies, consecutively for the third time. The consistently higher rankings year-on-year, are testimonial to Southall Travel’s increasing popularity among travellers”

Southall Travel was ranked at the 148th and 141st position in 2010 and 2011 respectively, and owing to improved sales figure for the year ending March 2012, the company has managed to grab the higher ranking of 132 this year.
