Thailand has everything – bustle, relaxation, friendly locals and a mean massage – as one reporter has discovered.
Lucky holidaymakers booking cheap flights to Bangkok in a bid to shun the winter weather will find that the destination has everything they could want.
This is the viewpoint of Mishal Husain, a journalist writing in the Daily Mail about her recent trip to Thailand.
According to the writer, she and her husband managed to combine the bustle of the city with the relaxation of the beach by staying at a Banyan Tree resort in both Phuket and Bangkok.
In the capital, Ms Husain found “much to offer beyond the nightlife”.
“Even on a whistle-stop tour like ours, it’s worth taking in at least one temple – I marvelled at the flower offerings, exquisitely presented – and if possible, a river trip,” she added.
The couple then went on to Phuket, where they found lagoons, beaches and massages that don’t break the bank.
Meanwhile, those looking for something different on their holiday in Thailand this November could head to the Monkey Buffet Festival in Lopburi in Thailand, which is held in celebration of the creatures that freely roam around the area.
