Galia Gluckman believes that Cape Town is the perfect place to be inspired.

Galia Gluckman has returned to the Mother City to become part of the thriving South African art scene and be close to her roots.

The eco-artist has been working in New York for the past decade, using recycled materials to recreate unique, conceptual and thought-provoking structures.

Now back in South Africa, she has rediscovered her love of texture and perspective.

It is not surprising as Cape Town offers some of the best views in the whole of the southern hemisphere, with the cable car to the top of Table Mountain particularly appealing to tourists.

“I feel so privileged to call Cape Town home and be part of the Cape Town art scene,” Gluckman told Cape Town Magazine.

She added that apart from the summit of Table Mountain, the very best part of the city is the drive down from Hout Bay to Camps Bay, stating that the mixture of mountain and coastal scenery “does it for me”.
