Travellers who book flights home from their holiday in India and other destinations with Virgin Atlantic may be able to stave off the post-holiday blues for that little bit longer.
Research carried out by the airline found that it takes 6.21 hours after landing back on home soil before people start to experience symptoms of the phenomenon and 18 per cent of Brits begin to miss their holidays before they even board their flight home.
However, passengers may wish to log on to the Virgin Atlantic online shop for the chance to purchase some fragrances that remind them of their travels.
For a limited time over the summer, the “Ask for the World Aromas” are designed to help people prolong their holiday feeling and include products such as Slum Dog No.5 and Cologne de Kasbah.
“Holidaymakers realised that scent was a key factor in recreating memories of more relaxed times,” commented psychologist Anjula Mutanda.
Those who may be interested in purchasing the Slum Dog No.5 fragrance when they return from their holiday in India may wish to attend the Teej Festival in Jaipur before they come home.
A festival dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, it will take place from July 24th to 25th.
