The Arambol in Goa has been described as “spectacular”‘ by a well-known travel writer.
Travellers booking holidays to India may be interested to know that the Arambol in Goa has been named one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by a travel expert.
Gavin McOwan, writing for the Guardian, said the Arambol’s “spectacular and sweeping sands are so beautiful that they can win over even the most jaded of travellers.”
Heading up the list was Las Islas Galicia in Spain, which has been nicknamed the ‘Caribbean beach’ by locals for its white sands and turquoise waters.
Other beaches to make it in to the top ten include Whitehaven on the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, Australia and Porto da Barra in Salvador, Brazil.
This could be interesting for travellers booking flights to Australia who may want to spend some of their time lounging on the beaches up and down the east coast.
Many of the locations selected by Mr McOwan are popular with gap year students.
