India’s capital, Delhi is all set to host the first edition of Delhi International Film Festival from December 21 to 27, 2012. The event will showcase at least 150 films from nearly 70 nations, enticing keen film buffs to take India-bound flights.
Art lovers planning to take flights to India in the month of December are certainly up for a good time as India’s colourful capital is all set to host first ever Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF). The very first edition of DIFF is all set to kick-start from December 21 and will last till December 27, 2012, revealed online sources.
As many as 150 movies from around 70 nations such as the United Kingdom, France, Israel and Brazil will be showed during this week-long festival. With such a prolific showcase of creative movies from different parts of the globe, movie lovers taking flights to India during the event will be able to sample some of the best world pictures.
Besides, the best of classical world cinema will be showed across 10 sections in the event. The Retrospective, Tributes and Homage sections will showcase movies of some of the legendary directors and actors.
However, the key highlight for cinema fans on flights to India will be the special section called the NRI Cinema. This section will showcase 15 thought-provoking flicks by non-resident Indians from all across the world.
Besides excellent flicks, DIFF will also host an art exhibition showcasing excellent artwork of artists from worldwide, treating art lovers who take flights to the city.
