Where to go and what to do on a cheap holiday in Dubai.
A writer has come up with a list of attractions he believes those on cheap holidays in Dubai cannot afford to miss.
According to Garetah-Huw Davies, who was writing in the Daily Mail, there are various top things to do for anyone visiting the emirate, beginning with exploring the Atlantis resort.
The complex was constructed in the centre of man-made island Palm Jumeirah only last year and boasts a monorail, a water park “four times the size of Wembley Stadium” and offers the opportunity to swim with dolphins, shop, drink, eat and relax in a spa.
Exploring the souks – or crowded alleyways – of Dubai allows privileges malls do not, such as trying on expensive items of jewellery and allowing the sights and smells of perfumes, gold, textiles and spices fill your senses, he adds.
Seeing the region’s history by visiting the Dubai Museum on the west bank of Dubai Creek and taking a trip into the desert are further activities the writer advises doing to get under the skin of the location.
Getting around the area may be about to get easier, as the Dubai Taxi Corporation announced this week that an extra 300 cabs would be unleased along the new metro line stations.
