Dubai Summer Surprises has helped attract an increased number of visitors to the emirate during June.
The Dubai Summer Surprises festival has proved to be very popular with holidaymakers this year, according to one expert.
Peter Goddard, managing director of TRI Hospitality Consulting in Dubai, said that the retail extravaganza was one of the main reasons for an increase in room occupancy in recent months.
“Dubai was back in action again this June as a favourite summer holiday destination for domestic and regional travellers,” he added.
The festival was held from June 14th to July 14th and in its 14th year was bigger and better than ever before.
More than 6,000 of the emirate’s stores take part in the event, with fashion shows, live music and kids entertainment a regular sight in the malls.
Dubai Summer Surprises takes place every year in the state and is one of numerous events aimed to highlight the fabulous shopping in the region’s centres and malls.
