Football team AC Milan have left Dubai after a successful tour of the region.
Large numbers of fans saw the team take part in the Emirates Winter Tour which ended in a 2-1 victory for AC Milan against Al Ahili Club in the Emirates Challenge Cup competition
The players took flights to Dubai at the end of last year and held a number of open training seasons at Al Ahli’s Rashid Stadium. The team also organised a public training on the Al Mamzar beach and at the top of Dubai’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa, which is over 828 metres tall.
AC Milan player, Clarence Seedorf, praised the facilities in Dubai and the experience of staying in the UAE state.
“The training on the beach was especially enjoyable, as it was a real change from our normal training and tested our strength. The trip up the Burj Khalifa was an experience – to be at the top of the world’s tallest building that was truly a great opportunity for all of us,” he said.
