Ron Cropper, marketing director at Weddings & Honeymoons Abroad, explained: “If they have a wedding overseas, they usually tie up the wedding and the honeymoon together.”
According to Mr Cropper, the low cost of overseas weddings is driving their popularity as the average cost of the event in the UK is reported to be around £18,000.
