Food fans keen to sample a wide range of local cuisine on a holiday should head off on cheap flights to Australia and explore the nation’s southern cities.

Travellers with a passion for food heading off on cheap flights to Australia could find southern Australia the best place to visit. The South Australian Tourism Commission said that it is “no coincidence” that both of the chefs competing in the final of the country’s Masterchef final, which was shown last night (July 25th), hail from the region.

“Now word is out about what’s to be discovered, seen and tasted, why not take your own gastronomic Masterchef tour of South Australia?,” the commission said.

Hubs of great food which could be explored by those taking cheap flights to Australia include the Central Markets and Chinatown in Adelaide and the Barossa Valley, which boasts world renowned wine and amazing cheese and cooked meats.

The Willunga Farmers Market, which can easily be reached from Adelaide, is also well worth a visit, the group said.

Adelaide is the state capital of Southern Australia and is also known for the large number of Australian defence firms that have headquarters here as well as famous music event the Big Day Out.
