Gold Coast is a sunny, surfer’s paradise
Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, a vibrant metropolitan area just south of Brisbane, has launched an A-Z of reasons to visit.
The tourist board is hoping to draw in Britons who are fed up with changeable summer conditions in the UK with the lure of the Australian city’s favourable winter climate – which enjoys a warm average temperature of 27 degrees – and a list of world-class attractions.
According to Gold Coast Tourism, in Gold Coast ‘A’ is for Australian Outback Spectacular’s dinner, Arts Centre Gold Coast and Aquaduck Safaris, ‘J’ is for Jet Ski Safaris and Jet Boating, and ‘S’ is for Sea World and the 77-stories of Skypoint.
In this area of the world, ‘S’ also definitely stands for surfing, as there a host of premium breaks on offer for budding Mick Fannings, including Surfers Paradise and Burleigh Heads.
Gold Coast will also host the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
