Sonny Vandevelde captured some beautiful images from the Outback
Fashion photographer Sonny Vandevelde has turned his camera lens away from beautiful models and onto beautiful landscapes to capture a series of photographs of the Australian Outback.
Over three weeks, Vandevelde travelled with his wife Jacqui and their son and twin daughters through New South Wales and along the Great Ocean Rd in Victoria all the way to South Australia, the Herald Sun reports.
Along the way he captured a series of enthralling images of the wilderness, including a gorgeous crimson sunset at Henley Jetty in Adelaide, a snap of his daughters playing on the dry salt bed of Lake Gairdner and a boat anchored in calm waters at Mallacoota in Victoria.
Having grown up on Sydney’s northern beaches, Vandevelde is also an adept sports photographer and has previously worked for the clothing brand Quiksilver.
But it was his shots of Sydney’s vibrant nightlife that helped him forge a career in fashion.
