Some of the world’s most luxurious ships are set to dock in Melbourne next year.
Travellers on flights to Melbourne could be planning to head to the city’s harbour in order to see some of the world’s most famous cruise liners docked at the port.
Luxurious vessels such as the Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Elizabeth are to visit the city early in 2012, with both journeys marking milestones for the vessels.
While it will be the second visit for the Queen Elizabeth, the arrival of the Queen Mary 2 on March 5th 2012 is expected to be a great occasion for the city, as it is the first time the ship has docked in Melbourne.
However, they are not the only liners which will be docking in the city in the early months of the year, as a total of 56 are expected to the end of April.
Sports fans who are taking flights to Melbourne could be more interested in seeing a bronze statue of cricketer Shane Warne, which was unveiled in the city last week.
