The big names are out in force at this year’s Bluesfest in Australia’s Byron Bay.
Bob Dylan, Grace Jones and Elvis Costello are among the dozens of names confirmed for this weekend’s Bluesfest at Australia’s Byron Bay.
Music-loving Brits catching flights to Australia are encouraged to book now as the last of the day tickets are close to selling out for the event, which starts on Thursday (April 21st).
Also on the bill are legendary blues trio ZZ Top, Jethro Tull and modern Aussie rockers Wolfmother.
Now in its 21st year, the six-day event is due to attract over 24,000 music fans to the 120-hectare site on Tyagarah Tea Tree farm.
As well as dozens of acts across six stages, there are four licensed bars, two food halls and, new for 2011, an underground sit down area for getting out of the sun for a little while.
Visitors are encouraged to get into the festival spirit, bring a tent and camp out, as the town of Brunswick Heads is eight kilometres away.
