Some of the best food in the world is to be offered in Bangkok at the World Gourmet Festival.

People with a love for fine food could be planning to take flights to Bangkok soon in order to attend the World Gourmet Festival.

Taking place at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, the event is set to begin on September 5th 2011 and will run for one week, with some of the world’s best chefs and culinary experts attending to show off their skills, the Bangkok Post reported.

Among the chefs attending include the Michelin-starred Anthony Demetre of Wild Honey in London and Ivo Adam, based at Seven in Ascona, Switzerland.

“There are a lot of Thai diners who travel the world in order to try new foods and experience different dining options … and now it’s something they want to see in their home country,” said Malcolm Omond, director of food and beverage at the hotel.

Some people taking flights to Bangkok to sample the foods could time their visit with a trip to the International Festival of Music and Dance, which begins on September 9th.
