One of Thailand’s more secluded resorts offers visitors a unique experience, it has been claimed.
The island of Yao Noi has been recommended as an essential destination for people booking cheap flights to Thailand.
Situated a 40-minute boat ride away from the popular tourist spot of Ko Phing Kan, it is described by the Daily Mail as “a different world”.
The resort recommended by the publication is the Six Senses Hideaway, but there are other places to stay at more affordable prices for travellers on a tighter budget.
Yai Noi is a relatively quiet and peaceful island where guests can go to relax after exploring Thailand’s bustling cities.
After settling in, the newspaper’s Mark Palmer embarked on an island hopping trip to explore the surrounding area.
He enjoyed swimming in the lagoon on Hong Island and also caught glimpses of other famous Thai resorts such as Ko Phi Phi Leh, which was used as the location of The Beach in 2000.
Ko Phing Kan has become known locally as James Bond Island, due to its starring role in The Man With The Golden Gun.
Rhonda Carrier, editor at Takethefamily.com, recently said that Thailand is one of the world’s leading holiday destinations for people seeking “luxury on a budget”.
