Westin Hotels & Resorts is continuing the expansion of its spa operations with the opening of a new facility in Phuket.
Nancy London, vice president and global brand leader for Westin Hotels, explained the new spa forms a vital part of the company’s plans to increase its worldwide profile.
She added: “We will continue to aggressively expand our spa portfolio to nearly 50 Heavenly Spa by Westin properties by 2011 in key destinations around the world including Mexico, India and China.”
The new Heavenly Spa by Westin at the Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa Phuket offers six spa treatment rooms and two spa suites. One of the new treatments on offer is the ‘Luk Pra Kob’ – when a steamed Thai herbal ball is used to relieve muscle tension and stress.
Westin’s Phuket hotel offers more than 250 rooms, each with sea views, outdoor balconies, iPod docking stations and large LCD televisions.
