Anyone seeking culture on a holiday should consider booking flights to Bangkok, it has been claimed.
People taking flights to Bangkok could be pleasantly surprised by the culture on offer in the city, it has been asserted.
One expert in tourism in the country has pointed out that there are lots of cultural things to do and see during a stay in Bangkok.
“The cultural, the Buddhist culture and the temples in Thailand are very much part of their daily life still,” UK and Ireland marketing manager for the Tourism Authority of Thailand Joanna Cooke explained.
She also pointed out that the Thai capital has two distinct sides, with the river dividing the city in two.
Ms Cooke advised tourists to take a river boat tour to visit the old side of Bangkok and experience all the area has to offer.
It appears that increasing numbers of travellers are discovering Thailand as a holiday destination.
Figures released by the Pacific Asia Travel Association earlier this week revealed that international arrivals to Thailand had increased by 26 per cent by November last year compared with the same timeframe in 2008.
