Tourists offered tips for travelling in South Africa

People who are eagerly preparing to board flights to South Africa for the start of the World Cup this weekend may be interested in some tips about the best way to travel around the country.Writing for Boots n All, Kathy Schmidt suggested that the Baz Bus could be a good option for fans who want to follow their team all over South Africa.

She explained that the company was set up in 1995 to provide backpackers with an easy way to discover the country.

And although it does not go to every World Cup host city, it does offer routes between six of them – Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Nelspruit, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Tourists can choose to buy travel passes that last for a specified amount of time, or can opt for the hop-on hop-off deal, which allows unlimited stops, as long as you continue travelling in the same direction.

Every year, Baz Bus transports approximately 10,000 passengers around South Africa and boasts ties with 180 hostels along its routes.
