Football fans should consider booking a cheap flight to South Africa in November for the seventh African Women Championship.
Eight teams will take place in the event – South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Algeria, Tanzania, Mali and former champions Equatorial Guinea.
The tournament will be take place from 31 October to 14 November and all of the matches will be held at the Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton and the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.
South African Football Association president Kirsten Nematandani, speaking to Xinhua News, believes the event is a further opportunity for South Africa to build on the successful hosting of this year’s FIFA World Cup.
Meanwhile, South Korea successfully won the under-17 Women’s World Cup for the first time in Trinidad and Tobago. The side beat Japan 5-4 in a dramatic penalty shootout.
