The Jozi Comedy Festival features performances by Mark Curry, Ndumiso Lindi and Dave Thornton among others.
Travellers keen to enjoy a laugh following cheap flights to Johannesburg could head to the Jozi Comedy Festival, which runs until the end of the month.
It is being held at the Teatro at Montecasino and features a stunning line-up of international talent that includes Mark Eddie, Dave Thornton, Dan Cummins, Ndumiso Lindi and Mark Curry.
Curry is likely to be familiar to many television fanatics thanks to his show Hangin’ with Mr Cooper, while Lindi is one of South Africa’s top black comedians.
If people like a musical edge to their laughs, then Eddie’s guitar-led humour may be the right show to attend.
Admission starts from 150 rand (£13.50) with performances taking place every evening until July 31st. There will be two additional late-night acts on Friday and Saturday.
To reach the venue, take the William Nicol off-ramp from the Fourways Junction to Montecasino Boulevard. The Gautrain pick-up point is at the west entrance of the Palazzo Circle.
