Goal.com explained that the last few finishing touches are being applied to transport hubs across the country as it gears up for the sporting event.

Citing a speech made by the country’s minister of transport Sibusiso Ndebele in recent days, the website noted that he told BuaNews that travel was not are area where South Africa could afford to fall behind.

“We are delighted to note that all our host cities have an airport,” he told the news provider.

Mr Ndebele concluded by noting that this will make efficient transport around the country far easier to achieve.

The first match of the World Cup is set to take place on June 11th 2010 when South Africa clash with Mexico.
