The Spier Contemporary 2010 exhibition is entering its final month.

Anyone who enjoys spending a day or two taking in art galleries while on holiday may want to consider booking flights to South Africa before the middle of May.

If you are holidaying in the country and like adding some culture to your breaks abroad, then a trip to Cape Town to see some of the exhibits in the Spier Contemporary 2010 exhibition could be a great option.

Running until May 14th, the installations in South Africa’s largest biennale contemporary art competition will be on show and are certainly worth a visit if you are in the city.

The event is open to any artist in the country, with judges travelling around South Africa to choose the pieces that are currently on display at the Africa Centre in Cape Town.

People who have booked flights to Johannesburg later in the year could also have the chance to browse some of the art works because the exhibition will travel to the city once it closes in Cape Town.
