There are some cheap flights to Cape Town currently on offer, which have been highlighted as a good deal by one national newspaper.

Anyone looking for a last-minute break may not have thought  about  visiting South Africa but one newspaper has pointed out that there are some cheap flights to Cape Town available.

The Daily Telegraph highlighted the offer with Emirates Air in its Deal of the Day section.

It revealed that tourists can fly to the city for £565 per person if they book before March 31st, to travel by the end of May.

People who want to visit South Africa but avoid the throngs of football fans drawn by the World Cup may want to take advantage of the deal.

The tournament will kick-off in Johannesburg on June 11th, with the final to be played out one month later on July 11th.

Anyone who visits the city may be inspired to travel into the surrounding area by one celebrity who recently described the nearby village of Fish Hoek as his “heaven on earth”.

Brian Blessed told the publication that the town is special to him because his wife introduced him to it when they first met.
