Cape Town ‘ticks every holiday box’

Cape Town has been described as an unforgettable holiday destination in one travel review.

Cape Town has it all, from breathtaking scenery to exciting activities, according to OK! Magazine.

Summarising the destination, the publication says: “Some of the scenery you’ll see will leave you slack-jawed, while the activities on offer – caged shark diving, whale watching and wildlife safaris – will leave you breathless.”

OK! recommends taking a trip to the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve, where tourists may be able spot zebras, ostriches and even whales.

A visit to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, is an important part of any holiday to the country, the magazine says.

Another popular activity in the region surrounding Cape Town is a journey to some of the vineyards.

Numerous celebrities are among the city’s fans, including Beyonce, Prince Harry and Robbie Williams, offering a further incentive to visit the South African destination.

Seven of Cape Town’s beaches were recently awarded blue-flag status, branding them clean and safe with good public facilities.
