Auckland will soon see some of the world’s top music acts performing in the city as part of the Laneway festival.
People heading on flights to Auckland could be planning to attend the Laneway festival, which is taking place in the city on January 30th.
Around 5,000 people are expected to attend the event at Silo Park on Auckland’s Waterfront on the same date as Auckland Anniversary Day.
The event will see the likes of The Horrors, Cults, Feist and Laura Marling perform across three stages, with local bands from New Zealand and Australia also poised to showcase their latest tracks.
It is the third time the event has been held in the city, although it is the first time it will be held at the Silo Park venue.
Gates for the event open at 12:00 local time and the first acts are expected to take to the stage at 12:30.
People who took flights to Auckland earlier this month may have already attended one high profile music event in the city, as the Big Day Out festival was held there on January 20th before going on to tour cities around New Zealand and Australia.
