Darren McCormick, head of aviation at Travel Counsellors, explained: “There are more last minute deals around than ever before, especially long haul … you will still be able to get good value for money.”
He added that in recent weeks it had become evident that travellers were becoming more confident in their spending and more and more people were making last-minute travel plans.
