Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad Airways is encouraging summer travellers to get their flights to India, South Africa, Thailand and Australia booked “as soon as possible” as many key destinations are filling up, it has been reported.
“We are starting to see a flurry of bookings being made for key destinations during June, July and August,” said Peter Baumgartner, chief commercial officer at the carrier.
He went on to say that holidaymakers should book as soon as they know their plans so that they will be able to secure their preferred dates and destinations for travel.
Flights to Bangkok and London are among the cities that are selling fast, the airline stated.
During the summer, Etihad will operate 900 flights per week to some 55 destinations worldwide – a 20 per cent increase in the number of weekly flights compared to 2008.
Travellers taking a holiday in Thailand in June may want to take a guitar master class or attend a concert at the Siam City Hotel in Bangkok, which will host the Asia International Guitar Festival between June 18th and 21st.
