Lufthansa has recently been in the process of enhancing its network by adding new destinations and flights. The airline added direct flights from Frankfurt to top long haul holiday destinations namely Cancún, Mexico; Malé in the Maldives; and Mauritius.
The German carrier launched all these new flights in a single week starting with flight LH 514 that departed Frankfurt for Cancún on 8 December, followed by flight LH 704 to Malé on 9 December. And finally flight LH 708 to Mauritius was launched by the carrier on 10 December.
Cancún, the Maldives and Mauritius are three of the most famous beach destinations worldwide. Travellers choosing these long haul destinations will now have the opportunity to fly direct with Europe’s largest airline.
Lufthansa has added several new flights to its network in the past few months. Tampa, Florida and Nairobi, Kenya were added in late September and late October respectively. In March 2016, the airline will launch flights to Panama City, Panama.
Lufthansa has deployed its long-range wide-body Airbus A340-300 airliner to operate these new flights. The seat configuration provides for a total of 298 seats across three travel classes – Economy (261), Premium Economy (19) and Business Class (18). The aircraft are equipped with Lufthansa’s FlyNet broadband internet access for passengers to use onboard.
Lufthansa is the largest airline in Europe, both in terms of overall passenger traffic and the fleet size. The airline has a vast international network that includes nearly 200 international destinations in around 80 countries across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe. A founding member of the Star Alliance, Lufthansa has a fleet of more than 280 aircraft.
