A seven-month international theatre season has been announced at a theatre in Bangalore.
Travellers on flights to Bangalore who want to take in some culture during their stay could be planning to attend a new theatre festival in the city.
The Jagriti Theatre has announced a season which will take place over seven months and feature a collection of six productions, IBN Live reported.
Each of the plays hosted will have been handpicked by the theatre and will be performed by companies from across India, the UK and the US.
The season will begin in December and run until June 2012, which each of the plays being performed 18 shows over two-and-a-half weeks.
Jagdish Raja, co-founder of the theatre, said: “The initiative, in the long run, will help nurture a community of theatre practitioners and audiences.”
People on flights to Bangalore could also take in other cultural highlights such as the Lal Bagh Glass House, which is famous for its beautiful flower shows.
