A lifestyle magazine has named the Indian state of Rajasthan as one of the country’s most striking.
Rajasthan has been named one of the most “beautiful” states in India by one website.
According to In2Town lifestyle magazine, Rajasthan, which is located in the north-west of the country, is a picturesque and fascinating place to visit and a great location for visitors on cheap holidays in India.
The region is “endowed with royal attractions, terrific temples, beautiful hill station, exotic national parks and sanctuaries, rich culture, picturesque lakes, beautiful landscapes [and] heritage hotels”, the magazine states.
Things it recommends seeing and doing there include taking in royal monuments, attending one of the local fairs or festivals and paying a visit to one of the region’s many green areas, such as the Desert National Park, Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, Sariska National Park or Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
However, without a camel safari, a trip to Rajastan is never complete, it adds, advising visitors to venture out into the breathtaking rippling sand dunes.
Meanwhile, those hoping to go on cheap holidays in India may be pleased to learn the opinion of Lynsey Devon, an activity sector PR manager for TUI Travel, who said recently that the country is friendly on the wallet.
